Artist Alma Jo Drain responded to this question, stating, "You don't want the thing that sells your work copied by a lot of others." Drain added, "It will cut in on your profits.".
Artist George Servais took a different approach with his response, stating, "I have no problem sharing what I have learned or figured out on my own.". Servais added, "I find other artists more than willing to share their experience and techniques as well. This way, our art is always evolving. I have no fear of being duplicated.".
Artist Robert Haeussler offered his two cents, stating, "The better my artist neighbors paint, the more interest by collectors in our area, the more visitors to all of our galleries and studios, the more (hopefully) sales for all of us.".

Artist Gayle Faucette Wisbon offered suggestions, stating, "Locally, I shop at Artisan's (artisan-santafe.com) and Michaels. For larger orders, I can not find better prices than Art Supply Warehouse (aswexpress.com)."
