    Q: I can't log into my email account from my control panel.
    I am getting an error that says "exception thrown and not caught" when I try to access my email from my control panel. How do I resolve this?

    A: Log into your email directly at the webmail login link: https://webmail.fineartstudioonline.com

    If you are using IE (Internet Explorer) 8.0 or 9.0, it is likely a browser issue.

    The quickest fix to most IE 8.0 or 9.0 issues is to enable "Compatibility Mode".

    Here are the instructions for enabling Compatibility mode.

    Secondly we suggest clearing the cache and cookies on the browser.

    To clear cache in Internet Explorer, go to tools/Internet options.

    Click on Delete Files, Click "Delete all offline content" then click OK.

    After it finishes, close your browser and reopen it. Your cache has now been cleared.

    ----------------

    To clear cookies on Internet Explorer:
    click on Tools
    click on Internet Options
    under General tab
    under Temporary Internet Files
    Click Delete Cookies

    The only thing you need to be aware of when you do this is that it will log you out of any websites you are logged into. Of course you can always log back in to them.

    You may need to REBOOT your computer after clearing cookies.

    Your other option is to use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome as your browser.

    I set up a Personalized email account but I don't know how to check my email.

    A: You have 4 options for checking your FASO email:

    a) Log in to email accounts directly at our webmail login page:
    https://webmail.fineartstudioonline.com

    b) Login to your FASO control panel, click the Email envelope icon in the upper row, and then click to login to your email account (remember, password may be different from your control panel login password)

    c) You can set up your computer or mobile device to send and receive email, using this page:
    http://my.faso.com/mail/help

    d) FORWARD email to another email address you own (such as a Gmail or Yahoo address):

    1. Login to Control Panel
    2. Click the envelope 'Email' icon - upper row of icons
    3. To the right of your email address, click 'Log In to this email account' and enter Password
    4. Click the icon in the top right that looks like 3 horizontal bars
    5. Click 'Settings'
    6. Click 'Incoming Email' (on the left)
    7. Click the 'Forwarding' tab
    8. Status: ON
    9. In the 'Forward to' box, enter your other email address ( for example)
    10. Check the box to 'Save a copy of forwarded email' so you have a backup
    11. Click 'Save'

    A: First, in order to set up a personalized email account (), you will need to be a paying client.

    Once you are a paying client and have a domain attached to your account, follow these steps:

    A: You can forward your personalized email (email that is attached to your domain name) by:

    -logging into FASO control panel
    -click on YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNTS
    -click on Log In to this email account
    -click on Settings (upper right)
    -click on Incoming Mail
    -click on the Forwarding TAB
    -turn Status to ON
    -check 'Save a copy of forwarded email' (as a backup)

    What Ports and Servers do I use when setting up FASO Mail?

    A: We use the same ports and server names no matter what your domain name is. The answer depends on if you are using SSL secure connections or not, and also whether you are using IMAP or POP to check your mail.

    Q: How to change the Admin Email on your account.
    How can I change the primary contact email address you have on file for me?

    A: The primary contact email that we have on file for you, also known as your Administration Email (Admin Email) on your FASO account, is where we send all official communication from FASO, including:
    - invoices of payments
    - important update notices
    - replies / answers to support questions
    - contacts from the 'Contact the Artist' form page on your website
    - account overdue notices
    - also used for account login
    - newsletters you send will be sent from your Admin email address
    (IMPORTANT NOTE: unless you have changed the Sending setting in newsletter software, see http://faso.com/blog/74344/important-notice-newsletter-sending-from-address)

    To change your Admin Email:
    -login to control panel
    -click gear icon (upper right corner)
    -click Account Settings
    -click Email Addresses
    -for 'Your Primary Contact Email' click 'Change'
    -select the preferred email from the drop-down list (or click 'Add a New Email')
    -Save Changes

    Q: How to import contacts into your FASO email account
    How can I import my contacts from my non-FASO email program into my FASO personalized / domain email account?

    A: Following are the steps to import your contacts list into your FASO personalized/domain email account.

    =============================

    A) CREATE CSV FILE IN YOUR NON-FASO EMAIL PROGRAM:
    Create a Comma Separated Value (.csv) export file from your email program (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, me.com, Outlook, etc).

    Open your email program (gmail, yahoo, aol, etc) account and then:

    Gmail:
    - click Contacts
    - click More / Export
    - For 'Which export format?' select 'Outlook CSV format (for importing into Outlook or another application)'
    - click Export

    Yahoo:
    -click Options - upper right
    - select Mail or More Options
    - click Contacts - from list on left
    - click Tools
    - click Export
    - select CSV

    AOL:
    Go to this page for the steps:

    [ For other email programs, you can do a Google search on how to export your contacts list for that program. ]

    When using Firefox as your browser, after the steps above, a box pops up asking if you want to open or save the file - save it. Hopefully it will then appear on your computer desktop as a file called:
    contacts.csv
    (this saves as an Excel file)

    B) IMPORT TO FASO DOMAIN (PERSONALIZED) EMAIL ACCOUNT:

    Now import that file into your FASO email account:

    1. Login to FASO control panel
    2. Click 'Email' icon in upper row
    3. Click to login to your email account, enter password and click 'Log In'
    4. Click Contacts
    5. Click Import/Export Contacts
    6. Under 'Import Contacts,' click 'Browse' to find your .csv file
    7. Click on your file in the pop-up box to select it
    8. Click 'Open' - it should now show to the right of 'Browse'
    9. Click 'Continue'

    Q: Can't Send Emails on iPhone 6
    I just upgraded to an iPhone 6 and cannot send emails.

    A: Check these settings:
    -go to Settings
    -click Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    -click on the email account
    -click on account again
    -scroll to bottom
    -below OUTGOING MAIL SERVER, click > (arrow) to the right of SMTP secure.emailsrvr.com
    -click > (arrow) to right of secure.emailsrvr.com On (Below PRIMARY SERVER)
    -make sure
    1. Host Name is set as secure.emailsrvr.com
    2. username is your full email address - IMPORTANT - make sure to manually enter full email address for Username, every time (it may default to just your name)
    3. re-enter password - do not trust what is already in place in dots
    4. 'Use SSL' is ON
    5. Authentication is set as Password
    6. Server Port is 587

    Q: I get emails on my iPad, iPhone, and desktop computer. How do I delete a trashed message on all devices!
    How do I delete emails on all my devices without having to delete them one at a time on each device?

    A: Here are the steps:
    -from iPhone and/or iPad
    -click email icon
    -select your email account (if you have more than one)
    -Go to Inbox
    -click Edit (top right of column)
    -select emails to be deleted (click round circle on left)
    -select 'Trash' (bottom right)

    In order for the email to be deleted on all devices you will now have to empty Trash:
    -Go to Trash folder
    -Select Edit (top right of column)
    Click Delete All (bottom right of column)
    click Delete All (to confirm)

    When you login to your desktop email account the emails will be gone. If for some reason they are still there, just be sure to refresh your browser window.

    NOTE: If you use a desktop client, like Macmail, and the above does not work, there is most likely a setting in your desktop client that would need adjusting.

    A: NOTE:
    A 2nd (non-FASO) email account is needed, such as Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, etc.
    You will be prompted to enter the necessary info.

    1. To reset your email account password:
    -login to your FASO control panel
    -click Email icon in top row
    -click Reset Password, just below your email address

    1a. If you do not have a valid non-FASO email account click on this link:
    [Click here to add and confirm a non-FASO Email Account where you can receive a password reset link.]
    - follow the prompts

    1b. Go to alternative (non faso) email account to click on email confirmation link.

    2. click on the (non-faso) email address you want your password reset link sent to
    -access the alternative email account to reset your password
    -follow the prompts in the password reset email

    Q: I'm not getting messages submitted through my site?
    I'm not getting messages submitted through my site? Clients have told me they submitted messages but I have not received them, what's the problem?

    A: Here are some suggestions as to what the problem could be:

    1. Check your spam folder and be sure it didn't go to spam.

    2. Check your FASO message log (instructions below) and make sure the messages are being sent and sent to the correct email address.

    3. Verify that your email address with FASO is a valid email address.

    4. If all the above check out OK, please open a ticket with FASO support, we can check with email service providers and be sure no blocks have been put on your email address.

    5. You can always be sure your are seeing all messages by logging in to your FASO account daily and new messages are the first thing shown on your home screen.

    Because email is not 100% reliable, we do have a Message Log that you can check to be sure you are not missing any important messages.

    To check your message log:

    Log in to your control panel
    Click on Contact the Artist (left menu bar)
    Click on Message Log

    Please double check this log to see if the people that had trouble contacting you are listed here.

    Q: How do I add a shortcut/icon on my desktop for my webmail?
    How do I add a shortcut, an icon to my desktop for the webmail?

    A: If using Mozilla Firefox:

    - Type webmail.fineartstudioonline.com into your address bar.
    - On the login screen, right click.
    - Then, select save page as... this will open a new little window. At this point, you can rename it if you'd like.
    - Click Save. It will put 2 icons on your desktop, you will click the one with the Mozilla symbol on it.

    If using IE
    - Type webmail.fineartstudioonline.com into your address bar.
    - On the login screen, right click and select create shortcut. It will automatically send shortcut to desktop.
