Note: There was no question in my mind that Carol's two paintings were so compelling that they had to share a prize. Both are different and both are superb. "Sunlit Hill" is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. Carol's edges, color harmony, the sky, and drawing all work so well that this painting evokes a beauty inside me.
