Artist Victoria Jordan

An example of fine art by Victoria Jordan

Photo of Victoria Jordan

Creativity has been Victoria Jordan’s passion for many years.  She has delved into all kinds of methods and materials, keeping the challenge fresh.

She loves acrylics for the way she can layer beautiful colors and sprinkle and splatter paint, never knowing exactly what will come of it.

Painting with encaustics, which is the ancient medium of pigmented wax, has held her attention for a number of years now. This is a medium that has it's own mind. She lets the wax do its thing, and waits until the subject comes into view. Oftentimes the emphasis will be on the abstract with a hint of realism. She never knows what will happen, as it's always a happy surprise.
