Artist Veronica Clark

An example of fine art by Veronica Clark

Photo of Veronica Clark

Mix living and traveling in the English countryside, London, Paris, Florence, Charlotte and a family farm in South Carolina. Add talented artist Veronica Clark and the inspiration she draws from the animals she meets on her travels and lives with on her farm. The results are works that reflect her passion and affection for animals and rural life, exemplified in her oil paintings, pastels and charcoal drawings. Having ridden from the age of two, she is captivated by horses as a subject. Dogs, cows and chickens are also frequently portrayed, with her most unusual commission being a turtle!  Her impressionist style captures the rich colors of nature and the expressive characters of her four legged friends.
Veronica has trained with Andy Braitman at the Braitman Studio in Charlotte, N.C.; Dawn Emerson and Lesley Humphrey at the American Academy of Equine Art in Lexington, Ky.; and Stephen Early at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, Pa. She has also studied with Scott Burdick and Roger Dale Brown. Her award-winning work has been featured in The Pastel Journal, the annual exhibition of the American Academy of Equine Art and QC Exclusive magazine.  She was the featured artist for the 2008 Charlotte "Queen's Cup" steeplechase. Veronica’s work can be found in collections across the United States and in Europe. Veronica is a Juried Artist Member of the American Academy of Equine Art.  She is represented by Rutledge Street Gallery in Camden, S.C., and Shain Gallery in Charlotte, N.C.  She also accepts commissions for animal portraits.
