I’m a painter, builder, and natural storyteller. Some More Information About Me as a Painter: I live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and have been painting since the 1980's. My initial interest in producing art originated with a love for photography and grew from there.  I’ve studied art in England, Ireland, and Oregon, as well as with some artists in my local area. I’ve had one, and two woman shows, and have participated in many group shows and had work in juried shows. My work is in private and corporate collections locally, as well as in Oregon, California, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and Europe. Over the years, I’ve often been an active member of different art associations, including the Lancaster County Art Association.
I started out as a realist and still am much of the time.  However, I've also had the confidence to experiment with abstraction.  And now, even when I explore my subjects realistically, I enjoy incorporating elements in my works that that are unexpected--either physically or philosophically. 
I have been painting full time since 2001. My body of work reflects my interest in using a variety of styles and media to explore layers, depth, and distance. Because I have a photographer's eye, even my portraits have strong compositions, and I consciously work to capture a feeling of depth in my paintings, even when working in a narrow picture plane [...]
