Artist Tony Moorby

An example of fine art by Tony Moorby

Photo of Tony Moorby

Tony recently retired from a lifetime in the vehicle auction business, although still consulting on occasion.
He likes to cook, write and paint. He took an interest in art at school but didn't pick up another brush until fourteen years ago, when called upon to 'daub' some colorful large paintings for a grey-bricked showroom.
That episode fired up old enthusiasms and Tony has been experimenting with different styles ever since.
He uses acrylic on canvas and loves to play with the juxtaposition of colors and shapes against one another. Geometrical approaches are extended to show interconnection of everyday life and objects.
Tony is sixty-seven years old and lives with his wife in Franklin, Tennessee. He has four children and a grandson.
He recently had a children's book published. "Ollie the Alien" was written in poetry as a bedtime story for his grandson
