The creative prospective presented on this web page represents the accumulation of many years of developing a unique way of understanding and seeing the world of impressionist art.  The learning process expands in the way color is placed on paper along with the elements of what is created within the wash of color is the essence of Tom Scott’s lifetime of work.  He enjoys teaching his processes to others and often holds classes in his studio located a short distance from Waco, Texas. In 1959, although already drawing and painting, Tom was able to obtain a small black and white Kodak camera and was taken into the photography process.   He did not realize at the time but these two art forms, painting and photography, would be into an integral part of his entire life.  
Tom has been active as an artist and photographer for his entire life.  Even though his business career took him in many different directions, his focus was always on the creation of original art. From the time when he was a young boy he was painting and drawing. 
Given the propensity for art, he attended West Texas State University now called WTA&M.  His studies were in art education and specializing in watercolor painting.  Graduating with Honors, additionally, named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities (1972) he received a BS degree with a lifetime teaching certificate for all levels of art education in the State of Texas.  Later, in 1999, Tom received a Master of Art degree. In conjunction with his career of contract sales he was grant Adjunct Professor standing to teach art a Baker College near Cadillac, Michigan.  He then was moved back to Texas to finish his career in contract management and retire to work full time with his art.
