Tina Glass is an artist living in the city of Janesville in Southern Wisconsin.
Her love of art began early in her childhood when her parents bought her a lightbox tracer at the age of 6. She spent hours having fun drawing cartoons with it.
Throughout her formative years, she took every art class available to her. As an adult, she was inspired to try oil painting by watching TV painting shows. As an employee of a local craft store, she was able to purchase a beginner oil painting set at a discount. She painted the picture and was amazed at the results. She was hooked! Co-workers saw Tina's first attempts at oils and she was asked to teach the wet-in-wet method and decorative painting.
Tina considers herself primarily self-taught by devouring numerous art books and DVDs. She has taken some local and online art classes, earning a Master Art Diploma through Harcourt Learning Direct, and has recently studied online with Master Artists Daniel Edmondson and Elizabeth Robbins.
Her mediums of choice are oils and acrylics.
She has been influenced and inspired by artists such as:  Rembrandt, Sorolla, Richard Schmid, John Singer Sergeant, Phil Starke, Gregg Kreutz, Jeff Legg, Elizabeth Robbins and David Leffel.
Inspiration for her diverse paintings come from the infinite beauty of God's creation and simple things around her home. She wants to share with the viewer through her paintings, that there is beauty in things all around us.
Her artwork is in local offices and private residences as far away as Russia, as well as in Beloit Art Center, and on Fine Art America and Pixels.com.
She currently teaches "Create Through Paint" classes at Hobby Lobby, Bass Creek Cafe, and private classes/parties, to help students experience "Sharing the Beauty of Creation Through Painting".
Tina is currently a member of the Oil Painter's of America, National Oil [...]
