Artist Theresa Zuluaga

An example of fine art by Theresa Zuluaga

Photo of Theresa Zuluaga

I have been drawing portraits since I was nine years old! I am fascinated by faces, and love to capture the essence of a soul in it's glory with that which they love. I did the 'draw me'  ad and went to Art Instruction Schools via mail when I was a tween. I attended Art Students League in New York City for three yrs on full tuition scholarship.  There I studied with Robert Beverly Hale, Daniel Greene and Howard Sanden.
I attended Brandes Art Institute in Los Angeles and studied with Disney artists, and Mark Westermoe. I have been teaching Art since 1979 and love painting.
I wrote three books one an expose of what happened in the art world to Fine Art, "Why Not Beauty", also I compiled a series of Art lessons based on the Greco Renaissance Tradition of Art and the third, a pen and ink coloring book on Motherhood.
I do portraits on Commission and will work from Photos and if possible, live sessions.
