Artist Suzanne Burnell

An example of fine art by Suzanne Burnell

Photo of Suzanne Burnell

Chilly summer months spent camping and mapping the geology of the Canadian Arctic honed my interest in wild places. Canadian artists, referred to as "The Group of Seven" were early artistic influences. With their paintings, they captured the raw and powerful beauty of northern Canada.
In my paintings, I like there to be a sense of space for the viewer. I want my work to be a place of calm in a busy and distracted world.
