a hymn of praise to our God."

Artist Statement
I use acrylic paint and/or mixed media to create narrative artworks that often “tell a story” for the viewer. My artwork often points to "the life that is really life" using spiritual metaphors or symbols based on biblical texts.  Recently I am again interested in making art based on subjects in nature that reveal the Creator's invisible qualities from what has been made.
I have lived in Florida all my life and have completed degrees in biology and art education.  I enjoy teaching art to children and adults in a variety of public and private settings.  My belief is that creativity is born and enhanced in community.  It is important for artists to strengthen, encourage, and serve others through their work.
