Biography
Why do I paint?
In one word "freedom," that propels me into a world of expression and creativity. A place where my stories can be told. My own experiences in life have not always allowed me to feel this way, and I know many others feel the same. Painting has helped me learn more about myself, give me peace, and be in the moment with creation. Creativity is a huge part of our living in wellness, and that is what moves me to share and teach what I have learned.
What's my Favorite Brush?
Honestly I have to say my hands. You know how it feels to walk in mud with bare feet and have it squish between your toes? Not only do I love that but I love to paint with my hands and fingers. Feeling the paint and moving it around the canvas, exploring and creating is just too much fun. Tools allow adventure, so I use anything from credit cards, sticks, brushes etc., whatever allows for expression in that moment.
What's my muse?
Nature and Wildlife absolutely bring me to those pure moments of soulfulness. My current work is more abstract and more of an expression of life, nature and feeling the present moments. After a walk I am always filled with a connection to the freedom of expressing from the deepest part of the self.
