The Artist Says:

My paintings represent many years of focusing on water as a subject for artistic expression and as a recreational fascination.
I have always been interested in the metaphorical meanings we attach to water and I seek to not only capture the transitory qualities of water, but to emphasize its beauty and its elemental value as our main life source.   The titles of my work convey the emotional connection that I have with water and the power that water has in our lives.
Although I live in the western United States, I intentionally choose to create images that are universally accessible. Water issues are critical to all of us and it is impossible to separate the impact of water issues in one location from those of another.  More than any other element, water is shared and is key to our survival long term.  In my small way, I hope to touch the hearts  of others and seek to raise their awareness of the preciousness of water.
