An example of fine art by Spyder Webb

I've been a working artist my entire adult life, starting as a painter, followed by years as a corporate Art Director. I stepped away from the corporate world in the mid 1980's to work as a full time artist. Since then, I've had numerous one man shows in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
My watercolor and acrylic paintings have been exhibited in solo gallery shows as well as numerous juried group exhibitions. I'm a former member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society. My paintings are in collections across the US and in Europe.
I've also written and drawn several comic strips, including Machine Head, Father Flood, and Sacred Cows. In the 1980's he was a nationally syndicated political cartoonist for Associated Features.
My series Everyday Saints, are painted soul portraits portraying people using the visual conventions of stained glass to show that every life deserves the the same respect as that with which we used to honor only saints. This is a highly spiritual series meant to affirm the worth of everyone's life without judgment. Spyder is available for Everyday Saints style commissioned portraits. Note that these are paintings on canvas, not works of stained glass.
My Animal Saints series is done the same way, but I'm trying to call attention to our cousins in the animal world and to remember that their lives are also sacred and to be respected.
