The Artist Says:

I immigrated to this country from Pakistan at the age of 17.  My childhood memories are full of vibrant colors:  stalls of spices, rolls of fabric being hand dried, stands of bangles in crimson, orange, and mustard.  I have always cherished those colors and now incorporate them in my paintings.  Oil is my favorite medium.  Nothing beautiful and colorful escapes me, so you will find portraits, landscapes, interiors, street scenes and still lifes in my studio.  I love to travel but have made Saint Paul, Minnesota and Prince Edward Island, Canada my homes.  I live with my composer husband, two beautiful children, several cats, chickens and AFS students."To see a World in a Grain of SandAnd a Heaven in a Wild Flower,Hold Infinity in the Palm of your HandAnd Eternity in an Hour"--William Blake
