The Artist Says:

The joy in painting is not the completion but the journey; each day can be a new challenge.  I enjoy the time it takes to contemplation, exploring, and learn.  Individuality is important to me; especially when guided by fundamental principles.  Working from sketches and journals provides me with opportunities to explore.

Collectors Say:

"Just wanted to tell you how much we are enjoying your abstract, the one we purchased in the fall. We have quite a bit of art on our walls, and repeatedly your abstract is the first piece to receive glowing comment from friends and family"
Makes you want to go through the trees to see what's behind there!!
 I like the perspective Sheila.
I'm drawn right into that warm chair in the sun...gorgeous
 Lovely Sheila, warm and inviting.

Other Artists Say:

Just a note to say how much I like your work . I lived in Alberta for 10 years in the 70's. I paint in oils but appreciate the strong abstracts you do in Acrylic. I'm not a collector but if I were, your happy paintings would be on my walls. Keep up the good work, Sincerely. Kathleen

Artist Statement
Art has pushed me to grow. Challenged and inspired me. Putting paint to canvas and words to paper; I've become a collector of both. Using them to guide my creativity with each painting. Something created today influences what I create tomorrow.
Keeping the eye, the mind, and the heart engaged.  I'm drawn to a place of being calm. Nature provides unlimited amount of inspiration.
