Scheline has many passions, but art and pets top the list.  After a 20+ year successful career in finance, Scheline traded her calculator for a paint brush and founded Sleepy Dog Studio in 2009.  She works primarily in oil and pastel, but has recently discovered the excitement of collage.  Scheline is committed to supporting animal rescue and served on the Board of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA for nine years.  Her co-workers at Sleepy Dog Studio are four rescue dachshunds.  They appear frequently in her work.
While largely self taught, Scheline honed her art skills through painting classes at the Parson's School of Design in New York and through workshops in the U.S. and France.  She also teaches art classes through Sleepy Dog Studio.  Scheline's work has been featured in newspaper and magazine articles as well as in designer home shows and commercial businesses.
Scheline graduated from the University of Virginia and now resides in her college town of Charlottesville, Virginia.
