Artist Sarah Stolte

An example of fine art by Sarah Stolte

Photo of Sarah Stolte

Sarah Stolte grew up in Pittsford, New York, a suburb of Rochester.  She graduated from Hollins University where she earned her degree in mathematics, but also studied art history.  Always an admirer of art, by the late 1980’s she decided to become a participant, rather than an observer.  She started taking evening classes in drawing and painting at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Virginia while continuing her professional career in information systems.
She and her husband moved to Trappe, Maryland in 1992, but she didn’t pick up a brush again for ten years.  In 2005 she decided to focus more seriously on her art and started classes and workshops with a number of well known artists.  She moved her studio to Cambridge in 2009 to give her a dedicated place to continue her work.  She currently works out her home in Trappe.
Today she participates in area art events, including Plein Air Easton's Local Color Show and the St. Michaels Art League Labor Day Weekend show.  Her work may also be seen at the  Trippe Hilderbrandt Gallery on Harrison Street, Easton, Maryland.  Contact her at 410-476-1055 for an appointment, or email her through this website.
