Biography

I started painting in 2002  at Connie Winters' workshops in Provence and another in Brantome, France.  I have also studied with Henry Barnes of Roswell Georgia, and Bonnie Brown Jensen of Charlotte, NC.

I paint what makes me happy like whimsical animals and interesting landscapes.  I find that my artwork makes other people smile too. "Art for the Young and for the Young at Heart," is one of my categories. I have many commissioned paintings for grandparents for their grand kids. The sentiment being that a memorable painting lasts longer than a toy.

In 2009 I fell down a flight of stairs, cracked my neck, and became a quad. With determination and wonderful support I'm now on a cane and painting just about every day.

I have quite a few shows coming up with Matthews Artists Guild and with the Silver Brush Artists Society. We show at Founders Hall in the Bank of America building in Charlotte, the Novant Hospital, on occasion at Spirit Square, and at Weaver and Budd Law Offices in Matthews in November.

If you see a painting on my website and it's marked sold, let me know and I'll paint another like it for you. I also do commissions so send me an email.
