Artist Sandy Day Selbert

An example of fine art by Sandy Day Selbert

Sandy spent the majority of her adult life living in Colorado and working in the fine wine import business.  She traveled extensively throughout the wine producing world, tasting wine and touring properties, always as a student and often as an educator.  There is art in wine.
Sandy is a self-taught artist.  Being the wife of a custom builder, she had many opportunities for artistic endeavors and designed and crafted leaded stained glass windows for each of their houses.  After retirement there were finally available hours to dedicate to self-refection, self-expression and opening new areas of the mind.  She has always been fascinated with the magic of watercolor and decided to learn to paint.  Having been invited to join a small group of women artists who paint on Ambergris Caye in Belize, she continues to paint with them each winter.  Her work is now influenced by many fine Colorado and National Water Media artists, with whom she has studied in workshop.  Sandy continues to seek inspiration through local and national artists, online media and through reading.  She is a member and “Vice President of Workshops” for the Colorado Watercolor Society and a member of the Alcohol Ink Art Community.
