Artist Sandra Izatt

An example of fine art by Sandra Izatt

Photo of Sandra Izatt

Sandra resides in the rural farming community of Bedford, Wyoming. Her home is on 3 virgin acres, set against the pine covered mountains of Bridger National Forest. Mrs. Izatt plans on having an artist retreat there one day. Much of the Summer is spent in this pursuit. During cold Wyoming winters,  the Artist devotes her time to painting and teaching art.
Much of my work involves Pyrography - better known as wood burning.  This adds a unique quality to the work, allowing the grain  of the wood to be a part of the painting, while also adding definition and texture.
Whether depicting people, wildlife or the rugged Wyoming landscape, painting is one way I interact with the world around me .  My Vision is clarified and appreciation for God's Creation enhanced. Sometimes, when the paint flows freely, it's as if He is guiding my hand.  My desire is to share and connect with others, perhaps bringing a  moment of reflection, or a precious memory along with  a smile.
