Biography
Thank you for visiting my web site. I grew up with the aromas of oil paint and photographic chemicals. I remember the scene of the fox hunters that my grandmother painted and how awestruck I was that she could paint so well. I borrowed some of her materials and painted my first pastoral as a preteen. Little did I know that painting would eventually become my obsession.
My first obsession would be photography. I was a teenage sports photographer and would later earn a degree in photography. I won awards for my underwater photography and worked with some very talented people. The commercial diving field took me to locations in the US and abroad.
I became very familiar with the Far East during my service in the US Navy. I worked and traveled in Europe and Latin America with private enterprise. Living in other countries and traveling has broadened my outlook. It has affected my life and my art in a positive manor.
My childhood, my education, my travel, and my many years of experiences have all affected my art. I consider myself very fortunate to have had experiences that many only dream of. Now in my autumn years I am driven to create art until the very end. Please join me in this adventure fueled by a love and respect for nature and life. I wish to provide you with images that you will cherish and pass on to your progeny.
