Artist Roma Turoff

An example of fine art by Roma Turoff

Photo of Roma Turoff

From an early age, Roma Turoff has had a passion for painting and drawing.  Her initial foray into the artistic world began with water colors, but she later switched to oils and pastels.  While she enjoys both of these mediums, the body of her work is in oils.  Leaning toward impressionism, Roma uses intense, vivid colors to create flowers, landscapes and still life paintings.
While residing in Arizona from 1996-2005, Roma studied under various reputable local artists, and it was there that she developed a fascination with impressionism.  An El Dorado Hills, California resident since 2005, she has studied under internationally known impressionist, Anita Wolff, for many years.  Under Anita's direction, Roma's love for impressionism and use of bold, vibrant colors and shapes continued to grow.  She has had the benefit of advancing the use of palette knife at the School of Light and Color under Susan Sarback, who stresses the importance of the quality of light.  Roma also continues to advance her skills through attendance at workshops and art lessons from impressionistic painters.
Inspired by the lush El Dorado Hills surroundings and her extensive travel, Roma's colorful, picturesque canvases are her vehicle for sharing the world's beauty.  Her artwork has been displayed and purchased at many northern California locations including:
Three Stages Art Gallery, Folsom
The Gallery at 48 Notoma, Folsom
