Creating art is an act of freedom and passion. Life is an abstraction of a higher truth and it is the artist’s responsibility to interpret that truth. 
The art of Richard Gordon Zyne (paintings, digital images, drawings, and sculpture) has been on display in galleries and solo shows in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in art, architecture/urban planning, science and clinical pastoral education and has attended Pratt Institute, Virginia Union University, and Johns Hopkins Academic Medicine . Zyne currently serves as bereavement services coordinator and grief recovery specialist for Heartland Hospice. He has served as vice president of Mount Olive College in North Carolina, President/CEO of the Foundation for PSP | CBD and Related Brain Diseases (CUREPSP), a global medical research foundation, and executive director of the Richmond Children's Museum.
