A long time participant in the arts community, Rhonda worked as a professional interior designer for many years before turning her visual talents to another art for, oil painting. The same strengths that shown through in her work as an interior designer, are evident in her artwork--- beautiful colorations, and strong lines that pull the viewer in. She studied several years in the style of the old masters producing realistic work. Today, she expresses her art with more looseness that allows the viewer to complete the story of the painted scene. " It is the emotion that one connects to the artwork that makes it even more beautiful " she says. " Thats when the piece becomes your own." Today she works under the mentoring of renown artist, Jim Richards. " Jim allows me to work using my own expressions , and urges my growth and creativity to paint from my heart as well as my eye" Rhonda quotes. Rhonda has traveled to Europe to paint with other professionals and another one of her mentors, Nancy Franke. You can see this influence in some of her paintings. Rhonda's work has shown at Huff Harrington's Bastille Day Show in 2012. She was also accepted in the " Jewels of Provence Show" 2013 at Huff Harrington Fine Art . She was also honored to have her art chosen and featured at the Kravet Showroom in The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center for their prestigious " DESIGN ADAC 2013" .
