Rebecca Spohn wears many hats, as a fine artist, children’s book illustrator, published author and professional craft designer.Many of her acrylic paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout Michigan and have been featured in painting magazines, including: The Decorative Painter. Her work covers a spectrum of styles, from whimsy to realistic.
Rebecca also enjoys writing and won 1st place in the Writer's Digest Popular Fiction Contest, 2007.She’s excited about her children’s book,which she wrote and illustrated, titled: READY, SET, GROW: A Kid’s Guide to Gardening, published by Good Year Books. All 92 pages are filled with colorful and inviting illustrations, which are a combination of acrylic and colored pencil.
As an illustrator she is a regular contributor to Hopscotch for Girls Magazine, Boys’ Quest Magazine, Highlights For Children Magazine, and many more.
With over twenty years experience of designing crafts, Rebecca is happy to announce her new book, READY, SET, CREATE: A Kid's Guide to Crafting, published by Good Year Books. This new children's book has allowed Rebecca to combine her love of writing, illustrating and creating.In the mitten state of Michigan, Rebecca and her husband, John, happily reside at a home she affectionately calls, Sunnybrook Farm.
