An example of fine art by Ran Wu

Photo of Ran Wu

Ran was born in Taiwan. At young age, Ran showed her special interests in drawing and painting, so her parents sent her to study Chinese brush painting and watercolor under renowned artist Liang Dan-Mei. Ran moved to the United States in her mid-twenties and took a break from creating art in favor of starting a corporate career and family. After years of working in the corporate world, in late 2000s, Ran decided to resume her pursuit of creating art and become a fine artist.
She started with plein air oil painting of the beautiful California landscape.  To further her artistic craftsmanship and comprehension, she attended the MFA program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Ran also studied under prominent artists Jove Wang, Huihan Liu, Fongwei Liu, and Zhaoming Wu, for portrait and figurative paintings.
