An example of fine art by RAMYA MANTHENA

Born in 1984, Ramya’s passion for artwork had a profound impact on her and that of her family. Brought up in Vishakhapatnam as a part of a joint family, Ramya’s art is fueled by these family values  with a strong sense of tradition. Even to this day, it resonates with how she dedicates art pieces to some family members. Her guru Dwaram Jaganath Babjee helped Ramya hone her skills to become a fine artist while she was finishing her undergraduate degree in computer engineering.
Ramya was relocated in Hyderabad after her marriage in 2004. This is where her passion for the arts was reinforced, which led her to her decision to pursue an MFA in Fine Art - Painting at the Academy of Art University. Her interest in music and dance added an extra stroke of inspiration to enhance her childhood passion for painting. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her MFA in Fine Art – Painting from the Academy of Art University in May 2017. Her paintings speak volumes about her high creativity of expressing emotions uniquely through power of her own vision.
Ramya is an artist who invests emotionally into her art. Her distinguishable style of paintings showcases portraits of classical dancers  depicting subtle yet spirited emotions of motherhood.
