Biography

Penny Santy’s paintings express a response to the human experience in dialog with nature. Her work has been exhibited across the northeast including Dacia Gallery, New York City; Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester; Cape Cod Museum of Art, and is a regular at Hamilton Center for the Arts. Santy earned a BFA from Syracuse University in 1988.

“Painted from memory and intuitition, the paint handling and spontaneity of drawing is applied with a vigor that brings in a wonderful energy. My paintings have a history within the layers that tell a story of time and movement that relates to the sensitivity of the world we live in.”
