Alsworth was originally from the Midwest where her love of art began.  She spent her working years in Albuquerque, NM where she developed an appreciation for the beauty of the high desert.  Paulette is inspired by light as it falls on a hillside or building and the contrast between the light and shadows.  She strives to achieve depth in a painting to draw the viewer into the composition.  Paulette enjoys painting anything from landscapes and seascapes to still life, portraits and animals. Oil is her primary medium but she also paints with pastel and watercolor.   
She admires Monet and Fechin, as well as many of today’s Impressionists and studies their techniques.   Paulette founded and directs the Hill Country Plein Air Painters.   She gives individual and group instruction at Art Centers and in her private studio.   Paulette is a member of Oil Painters of America and has received numerous awards for artwork entered in competitions.  Her paintings are displayed domestically and internationally in private [...]
