Artist Paula Fullington

An example of fine art by Paula Fullington

With a single class a few years ago, I started my journey into the world of art.  As soon as I took that brush in my hand and breathed in the intoxicating odor of the oils, I knew I had found my passion.
Weekly classes provided guidance, instruction and community.   Attending as many workshops and demonstrations given by other artists expand  my experience.  Joining The Chestnut Group,  Plein Air Painters for the Land affords me many opportunities to paint and to meet local artists.   Traveling to St Croix, Italy, Maine, the entirety of South America and the Baja has offered many wonderful days of painting in diverse locals.  Each workshop, each demonstration, each trip and each artist I encounter enhances my art and enriches my life.
I work mostly in oils on various surfaces.  I love to paint portraits of people and of all the animals that roam our rural property.  I love the figure and bringing it to life on canvas.  I also enjoy being outdoors painting the beauty of our world.  Each of my paintings come from an emotion deep inside.  I strive to have each tell a story and to pay homage to the scene.
