The creative process has been with me as far back as I can remember.    I starting playing music and drawing from a very early age. The passion for both disciplines comes from my heart.  

In 2009, I started painting to decorate my new beach condos on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.  I quickly discovered I loved the way the paint flowed on the canvas, and started painting what I saw.  To this day, every trip to the beach is a time to re-examine the waves, the birds, the clouds all the things I love about the beach. 

As a former musician I am a real fan of all kinds of music and I LOVE to paint my favorite guitarists. Their passion is something I try to capture in my paintings! In general, I only paint scenes that I am passionate about and hope that the viewer feels that passion and the peace that comes from that special feeling.


I studied for 10 years with with internationally renown artist, Elayne Kuehler, and have studied with New Orleans Artist, Elise Toups.  I also have been so privileged to take workshops with Kathy Anderson, Mark Horton, Stephanie Birdsall, and many other well known artists!!

 I am a member of Oil Painters of America,  AWA - Associated Women in the Arts,  Women Painters of the Southeast,  the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society, and the Louisiana Art and Artists Guild. My paintings have new homes from New York to Florida to California!

I have been honored to have my paintings juried into regional and national shows and love winning awards - especially the National River Road show where I have won two Merit awards! In 2018 my painting, Guitarman, was juried into the Eastern Division of Oil Painters of America show [...]
