Artist Patty Stern

An example of fine art by Patty Stern

Photo of Patty Stern

I had a stick horse when I was a little cowgirl.  My mom recalls me trying to feed it grass.  So, I guess I've loved horses all my life.I was born and raised on Colorado's front range. I now live in Wyoming with two Paint horses, a rescued Quarter horse, and herd of household cats.
I love the freedom of painting my subjects amid a field of vibrant, acrylic, abstract color.Horses, buffalo, anything Western.I collect vintage clothing, cowgirl gear, chaps and inlaid boots.  I enjoy using my "western stuff" in my paintings.Living here I don't have to go far to find something Western to photograph, and my horses give me plenty of photo ops, especially action shots for my art.
The best thing I love about my art is being able to donate a portion of my sales to several of my favorite charities and animal sanctuaries.
Everyone needs a purpose.
I think this is mine.Patty
