BIO - Pat Snelling Weiner

Pat has been painting most of her life. Starting in High School with a teacher, Mr Gilpin, who encouraged her artistic endeavors.

Her father said you can’t make money as an artist, well after the first show he said well I guess you better get to painting. Her mother was always her staunchest supporter.

Michael Weiner, her husband saw her artwork in 2001 and asked to be her sponsor. He was an avid collector of “dead art” as she called it. He started collecting her art and in 2002 he collected her and her art!

Traveling to Scotland to paint with Carl Purcell for two weeks and then going to Amsterdam and seeing “The Girl With The Pearl Earring” under glass sparked her fire, thus her larger than life portrait of the painting.
