The Artist Says:

Each Step:
With each ray of light and whisper of wind
I breathe the life given
In every drop of water
I see reflecting beauty and rejoice in the blessings that surround us.
Let us see the wonders in a world of darkness and miracles in every detail.
The allure of winds blowing softly through branches draws my feet closer.
My beguiled soul haggard yet vivified finds solace in vowed gifts.
I pray my eyes see, my brush finds movement and my fingers unearth the inspiration intended by powers beyond understanding.

Patricia Moss is an artist, educator and counselor whose goal is to practice mindfulness and explore perception.  As an outdoor enthusiast, she is fascinated with the impact of nature on the human psyche and with the healing aspects of both nature and art.
Her images primarily reflect landscapes found on Northwest trails that echo her spiritual connectedness with God and nature.  Finding both vistas and micro viewpoints to highlight her experiences, she hopes to share her journey with others, encouraging them to practice mindfulness and gratefulness with every step taken.
Patricia began her studies as an Art Major, but switched degrees to pursue Psychology.  Before moving to Western Washington in 2004, she completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Gonzaga University.  As a Black Diamond resident, Patricia is the Founding President of a non-profit group developed to mentor and encourage local artists.  Patricia is primarily self-taught and has been painting for over 30 years.  Her work has won several awards in regional exhibitions and has captured the attention of the national organization Oil Painters of America where she has been a featured artist.  Patricia’s paintings can be found on wine labels as well as several private collections across the Pacific Northwest.  Locally, Patricia has donated her art to community fund raising events, public art displays and murals at the Gomer Evans Masonic Center, and a collaborative mural at the Black Diamond Cemetery.
