Nancy Willott is a retired Suffolk County Probation Officer and lives with her husband, Richard Willott in Southold, LI, NY .    She is a graduate of  SUNY Stony Brook with a degree in Sociology.
Nancy is primarily a self -taught artist.   She has studied  drawing and painting at the Art Students League with Michael Burban, Ellen Eagle and Terrence Coyle on a part time basis and has attended pastel and oil painting workshops with Michael Chesley Johnson, Doug Dawson and Vianna Szabo.
She has exhibited in group shows at the Art Students League, The Bennington Center for the Arts, the Southold Historical Society, Blue Door Gallery in Riverhead and the South Street, Fiedler and VSOP Galleries in Greenport, NY. and at the East End Arts Council.   Her work  at EEAC was reviewed favorably in the Long Island Section of the New York Times.   She has been the featured artist at the Southold Harvest of the Arts.  
In a group show, Nancy's depiction of the North Fork Community Theatre was awarded Best in Show, a subsequent solo show was held and she was commissioned to design a logo for the theater.  
Nancy is a regular attendee at the South Street Gallery figure drawing sketch group, at which she has mentored and monitored.   She has also taught figure drawing classes in her studio and plein air workshops privately.
