Loving natural history as I do, I like to ponder how the human eye perceives both the variations in nature and the patterns of nature.I wrote more about this subject on this page of my blog:    http://nancyleemoran.com/blog/?p=163I am on Facebook as "Nancy Lee Moran Fine Art."I am considered to be a Romantic Realistic.I find faces to be endlessly fascinating.

Collectors Say:

“Thank you for the portrait of my precious grandchildren, an heirloom we will always treasure.  All five children look sparkling in it.” -NG“Thank you for your thoughtfulness that made yesterday’s photo shoot such an enjoyable experience for all of our family.  I really appreciated not only your artistic touch, but also the way you treated each of the children with such respect and warmth, so they felt happy and special.  It was a delight to have you in our home.” - LS“Words can’t express our appreciation for your dedication to this project.  As the girls grow, we hope once again to work with you on another endeavor.  Until then, we wish you and your family God’s richest blessings.” - JLNancy Lee Moran is the artist selected by the Memorial Committee of our church.  She is a gentle, soft spoken woman whose considerable talent is respected and admired.  She has gifts for capturing mood and light, a reputation for painstaking dedication to each portrait.  We are immensely pleased with her efforts and quite pleased about what it says about our church.  The architectural signature of this church has been its stained glass windows.  Moran had an inspiration to use the windows as “color jewels” to frame the church. - Pastor Anthony Dawson, “Reflections of God’s Love”

Nancy Lee Moran is an American realist painter living in Auburn, Nebraska. She has been painting portrait commissions in oil and pastel since 1989 - of people, animals, and homes. Now she will be focusing on her own art inspirations instead of commissions.
Originally a registered nurse, Nancy hopes the compassion of that healing profession is expressed in her art. Nancy has sent art to many states, England, Canada, Germany, Japan and France. Since 2006, some of her paintings have been represented by Lewis Art Gallery in Omaha, Nebraska.
Living near the countryside, she enjoys themes of country and gardens, faith and children. In recent years, she has explored Photoshop, learning to create decorative works for fabrics and licensing. She enjoys collaborations with other artists.
In 1994, Nancy Lee had a solo art show at the Nebraska Governor's Mansion. The Omaha Symphony ASID Interior Designer Showhouses displayed her portraits in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Ducks Unlimited commissioned art of country children (not of ducks!) to make limited edition regional prints in 1998 and 2000. Nancy attended the 2001 National Convention of American Society of Portrait Artists at the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York City. Her art has been featured in the magazine 'Nebraska Life' and has been published by Carpentree Publishing Company and Printery House.
The January 2013 issue of 'Pretty Toys' featured Nancy's artistic doll painting and portraits, shown on pages 22 to 27. It is a beautiful glossy magazine that is published in three languages: Russian, Spanish, and English.
Nancy and her husband, Bill, have two grown sons and a daughter. Her five grandchildren have inspired new whimsical art for children.
