Artist Nancee Sebenaler

An example of fine art by Nancee Sebenaler

Photo of Nancee Sebenaler

I don’t consider myself a landscape, figurative, or any specific genre of artist because I paint whatever amuses me at the time. I paint what makes me happy and all the better if someone else enjoys a piece and wants to make it their own. I work both in studio and plein air primarily in soft pastel.
I have always loved to draw but was discouraged by my parents who felt that you can’t make a living as an artist. Instead, I spent my career in industrial arts as a drafter and then electrical designer. I am retired from my career and am now a full-time artist.
When I decided to pursue my passion, I took as many workshops as I could and I still do. I have no formal education in art after high school but have learned so much from the many exceptional artists who are generous to share their knowledge.
I am a member of the Pastel Society of Colorado, Plein Air Artists of Colorado, Greeley Art Association, and Windsor Lake Artists.
