The Artist Says:

From the sweet perfume of honeysuckle in my backyard to my days spent riding bareback through the fields of my parents’ farm. These are the moments that resonate with my artwork.

Misty Biros is a professional juried artist, illustrator, and curator living in the triad of North Carolina. Originally from a rural farming town in Central Illinois, Biros developed a reverence for nature. Days spent riding horses, camping, gardening, and caring for the animals on her parents’ farm created the cornerstone for her fine art and illustrations.
Today, Biros finds inspiration during her travels and at her North Carolina homestead surrounded by family and pets. It is here, Biros has launched a large-scale conservation project which includes an apiary and the conversion of 4 acres into a pollinator habitat focusing on native plants.
The artist spends hours observing and photographing her surroundings during her adventures at home and abroad. In her studio, she strives to share these journeys through her paintings. Her technique conveys a sense of wildness and freedom that connects the viewer with the subject.
Biros' artwork is included in numerous private art collections globally. In addition to her fine art, Biros host over 35 juried artists in her online gallery, Gallery 1111 Pollinator Project, where portion of the sales go toward expanding native pollinator habitats, supporting related non-profit organizations, providing educational resources and more, to help endangered pollinators and their native habitats.
