"Through my art I can express my creative spirit to transform a blank canvas into a work of mysterious beauty that captivates the viewer and evokes a sense of wonder within them. Abstract expressionism is my favorite style of painting that allows me to tap into my feelings, while slowly developing the atmosphere and imagery of the piece until I feel the various elements are in harmony with one another and the painting is complete. Two of my techniques I employ are textures and layers, and these allow me to infuse lively depth into my pieces. I also enjoy experimenting with light and color so that fresh imagery can emerge. As I work on my abstract painting I find that it is like exploring a mysterious fantasy that goes through many complex transitions and draws you in with its unique spirit." - Mira
