An example of fine art by Mike L'Antigua

Mike L'Antigua started serious art study in 2013. Although he dabbled in it earlier in life, he put it aside for a twenty year period to raise a family. Painting is in his genes as his  grandfather was a painter in the 70's and he still has the easel that he once used in his studio. Oil painting has now become a passion for him.
Mike has taken classes and workshops from some of the best artists in the seacoast area. Karen Blackwood, Todd Bonita, Chris Volpe, David Lussier, Dennis Sheehan, Donald Jurney and now Sean Beavers at Sanctuary Arts in Eliot, Maine.
While being mostly a studio painter, he has experimented with Plein Air painting off and on over the last couple of years. His primary focus has been landscapes/seascapes, in 2016 he has embarked on an artistic journey to capure the beauty of the human figure both abstractly and realistically.
The artist's work can be found in private collections in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, and West Virginia. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife and youngest son.
Some of his work may be seen at the NW Barret Gallery in Portsmouth NH.
