Artist Marvin Slim

An example of fine art by Marvin Slim

Photo of Marvin Slim

My name is Marvin Slim, and I’m a Navajo silversmith originally from Torreon, NM.  My mother taught me how to silversmith. Lapidary was later introduced by my uncles.  I grew up in Albuquerque, where I live today, with my wife and kids. My wife is Luana Slim, from San Felipe Pueblo.  We both grew up in the watching our family silversmith. We collaborate on our pieces, and  enjoy making jewelry.  We  love seeing our customers, who’ve become dear friends.  You’ll find us under the Palace of the Governors Museum in Santa Fe, selling our work.  We make an assortment of contemporary jewelry, like bolo ties, necklaces, bracelets, but my signature, adjustable rings are what I’m known for.
