Marilyn's early studies were at Philadelphia College of Art and The School of the Worcester Art Museum. Marilyn has a MFAIA from Goddard CollegebMarilyn WilliscroftMarilyn Williscroft's early studies were at Philadelphia College of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at the School of the Worcester Art Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts. She also studied privately in workshops with Daniel E. Greene, Steven Assael, Judith Carducci, and Wende Caporale. Marilyn completed her undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida receiving her BFA. She earned her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont.Although Marilyn is best known as a contemporary portrait painter. Marilyn is experienced in many other mediums. She is a professional artist whose formal training includes drawing, painting, printmaking, tapestry weaving, and photography. Marilynís art career began as a tapestry design artist in her studio on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. During this time, Marilyn painted commissioned portraits, landscapes, seascapes and still life paintings in acrylic, oil and graphite. She also taught art in public and private schools in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Marilyn Williscroft's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the country. She exhibits in many nationally juried art shows and has received honors from art organizations. Marilynís original paintings and portrait commissions are available.
