Lynn Waldorf is an American painter. She began painting in her thirties and studied at California College of the Arts in Oakland. Since 1990, Lynn has participated in numerous juried, invitational, and solo exhibitions and curated spaces for emerging and established artists.  She is known for her oil and watercolor paintings, which are intimate, often ethereal reflections on humanity’s relationship with the environment.
Lynn's development as an artist has been deeply influenced by her travels to more than 25 countries and time spent living in France and Mexico. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for how artists and artisans extract meaning from the landscape and share their impressions through different art forms. Lynn was raised in the Pacific Northwest and has lived in Colorado for the past 14 years. She also spends several months each year painting in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Pratt Museum of Natural History in Alaska, as well as in private collections internationally.
Outside the studio, Lynn is an educator and creative life coach. She holds a doctorate in education from University of California Los Angeles and conducts studies on creative potential. She helps other artists reach their career and life goals through online coaching and instructional salons at www.LynnWaldorfCoaching.com. Lynn has authored two books on arts education and is currently working on one about the creative life.
