The Artist Says:

I love all the painting mediums but watercolor has captured my heart.  It is my hope that each piece's light shines and brings joy to others.

I fell in love with art at fourteen.  Took oil lessons after I married, but work, family and living life made me put my dream on the shelf.  I never dreamed that watercolors would steal my heart.   When we retired my husband and I moved to a lake.  I became an avid gardener and I painted the yard with flowers.  One day while cleaning out old art supplies,  I discovered a box of watercolors that had never been opened. The old dream resurfaced and I decided to give them a whirl.  What a mess.  But no way was I going to be beaten by paper and paint.  On my own, serious study began.  My abstract flowers, big and bold, gave me my focus and passion for color.  Next to flowers comes my love of animals and wildlife.  I paint other subjects and work in acrylics and oils, but watercolors have captured my complete attention.  You never know what you are going to get and the unexpected surprises always make the work exciting. Recently I tried Abstracts and found a new freedom and more excitement with color.   Happy paintings are my goal with the hope that the light and vibrant colors will bring joy to anyone who sees them.
