I began to paint seriously in 2012.  As a child, my sister & I spent many hours drawing for entertainment.  I studied art education in college receiving a BFA. Marriage and family left little time for art.  After my children began their adult lives, I enrolled in a life drawing course at Barrett Art Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.  I studied with Keith Gunderson & enjoyed the class so much I was soon taking 2 classes per week. I also began classes at Woodstock School of Art.  In 2013-2015, I studied at Katonah Art Center with Wende Coporale and Tracy Burtz.  In the fall of 2015, I studied at the Art Student League with Mary Beth McKenzie.  I have taken many workshops over the years learning something from each instructor.  The most influential instructors were Ellen Eagle, Daniel Greene and Karen O'Neil.  I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to practice art.   [...]
