Born in Charleston, SC and raised east of the Cooper, Lizabeth grew up admiring the elegance of historic buildings and loving the ever changing tides.  The beaches, islands, waterways, marshes and colorful wildlife entrenched her childhood.  It is most assuredly also, that the people of the Lowcountry have left an imprint on her.
Attending Wando High School in Mt Pleasant, Lizabeth had three years under the tutelage of one of the finest watercolorists of the 20th century from Charleston, Virginia Fouché Bolton.  After graduating from Wando, she went on to attend USC where she received a BA in Art Studio and Graphic Design.   After college, she worked on Hilton Head Island, in Alexandria, VA and in Washington, DC, before returning back to Charleston.  She got married and then began raising a family.  With her children older, she is now doing her best to create her art again.
 Though she was juried into the Charleston Artist Guild in the 90’s, life kept her from pursuing her artistic passions earnestly.  But more recently she is making some headway.  She is an exhibiting member of the CAG, the AAG, the SCWS, and the SC Rep for the SWS and a member of the AWS.
     “I had embarked learning basic ancient Hebrew at the College of Charleston before I moved to Aiken, SC the end of August 2014.  This is part of a greater vision with my art.  The traveling I’ve done has ultimately led to tying in faith with art.  Lost treasures have inspired me.  Mysteries unveiled are driving my passions.  I’m digging into centuries of secrets that have never truly been secrets.  Reaching remote places, some not so remote, are inspiring me to whisper or burst forth messages in color and design.  Painting in watermedia is my instrument of choice.  I feel [...]
