Recently I came across my third grade report card which read, "Lisa is a gifted artist. She is particularly drawn to abstract art." I was proud when my teacher asked me to paint the cover of a game she created which sold in local MA stores and throughout New England! Being shy I felt more comfortable expressing myself through the arts than with speech, but instead of pursuing an art career, I chose entertainment. I graduated from AMDA in NY and immediately got parts on Broadway as well as headlining on the QE2 international cruises. After retiring to FL a decade ago, I rediscovered my first passion and I’m happily painting daily. I can’t wait to get up and paint! Pursuing other interests-my music and writing three children's books- was not a waste of time for my art. Lisa Batch has shown and sold her art in galleries and exhibitions from New England to SW Florida. She is a member of Estero Art League, Center for the Arts in Bonita Springs, Bristol Art Museum, Westport Art Guild (MA) and Portsmouth Art Guild (RI) as well as NOAPS, the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society. She has been the featured artist at COCO’s Gallery and  an abstract art facilitator at The Brooks Resort, both in Estero, FL. This summer she taught via Zoom at the Portsmouth Arts Guild and her Roasted Chestnuts painting is featured in the 2021 calendar for the Bristol Art Museum.
