Art has always been a part of who I am. Some of my happiest childhood memories are of the art classes I started at the age of 6, of the smell and feel of paint and brushes and of the pleasure I saw in others when I shared my art. I  continued with art through high school and went on to Medway college of Design in England for a couple of years gaining diplomas in shop and store display.  
Nowadays I now work from my home studio as a full-time artist in acrylics, oils and pastels.  I’m inspired by everything around me, particularly colour and light and how it can make the ordinary look extraordinary. 
Revelling in the colours and textures of our beautiful country I especially enjoy capturing the effects of a low sun on sea, hills and mountains. There is a particular light on a hot Canterbury nor'wester evening when the sun drops below the arch of clouds that I try to capture in my work. The clarity and colour of the scenery in those brief minutes before the sun drops below the horizon is almost surreal and has a magical quality about it and strive to come as close to this in my art as I can
